Maintenance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A growing nutraceutical manufacturing company. That is in need of skilled, self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude. We are looking for a Working Maintenance Manager the wage ranges from $23 to $35 an hour, depending upon experience.

Maintenance Manager: The requires both mechanical and electrical capabilities as you will be a working manager. This position is responsible for reviewing all maintenance discrepancies for operational impact and develops an action plan to reduce or eliminate a delay.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the maintenance, tooling and parts support for all maintenance activities with our vendors and internal departments.

  • Coordinates parts and manpower requirements for repair beyond maintenance capability. Manage vendors and monitors repair activities through to completion.

  • Manages implementation of repair action plans.

  • Analyzes problem areas and recommends corrective action through technical interaction with maintenance vendors, engineering team.

  • Identifies chronic machine problems and develops detailed action plans for their repair.

  • Briefs Facility Management on systems problems and provides corrective action plans.

  • Briefs Floor Manager on status on machines/equipment.

  • Provides on the job training for Maintenance Team.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Prefer minimum 2 years supervisory and/or management experience.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to read wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogs.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and business associates at all levels, individually or before groups of any size.

  • Ability to delegate effectively.

  • Ability to interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

  • Have basic computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and internet use.

  • Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
